The Auxiliary Mid-Level Officer Course (AMLOC) C-School I attended in Florida taught by COMO Tracy DeLaughter and Dr. Mike Brzezicki this past week was truly inspirational. Not only did I learn a firm foundation in leadership theory & practice that are relevant to the Coast Guard, but I networked with amazing fellow USCG Auxiliary leaders who are genuinely passionate about making a difference in their respective communities. Although I did not get to meet Sandy DeLaughter during the training, her son, COMO Tracy, did an excellent job in facilitating the C-School!
Aside from the meaningful topics and awesome fellowship, another highlight of our AMLOC C-School was the pebble/rock activity that empowered us to be creative and showcase our characteristics. The story I shared regarding this project focused on FAMILY, TEACH, DIVERSITY, and EMPOWERMENT. The following is a snapshot of our class pebbles:

I also got a chance to meet with my Division Chief, Jonathan Ahlbrand, and discuss the upcoming Moodle projects we'll be working on. The following is a quick snapshot we took:

The day wasn't over, as I had the opportunity to meet with my Public Education Team as well. It was wonderful to meet Dave and Karen in person after participating in a number of Zoom sessions with them. The following is a quick snapshot we took:
