RIP Dr. Dungca

(May 31, 1940 – February 15, 2016) Lovingly known as "Benit/Dr. Dungca" ~ Of Sinajana was called home by our Heavenly Father at the age of 75… Last Respects will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica in Hagatna from 9:00am-1:00pm. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Guam Veterans Cemetery in Piti.

**Manifestation determination is a procedure used when a student who receives special education services is considered for suspension, expulsion or any alternative placement due to some behavioral concern. It is a process where the behavior of a student who receives special education is considered to determine if the actions that resulted in the consideration of some disciplinary action against the student were manifestations of the student's disability**

Please Pray for Julia's Speedy Recovery

Please pray for my daughter Julia who was involved in a major car accident. A Rubbishman cargo hauler hit her vehicle. She experienced a massive whiplash in the process. We stayed in the emergency room for most of the day at the new Guam Regional Medical City hospital. frown emoticon The doctor has advised us that she must wear a neck brace for at least 2 weeks and cannot take it off or she may end up losing all sensation of her nerves in her spine area. Si Yu’os Ma’ase’ to all of our family and friends who have kept her in their prayers. God Bless you all.

Ginen i Hila i Maga’taotao Siha Association, a culturally-relevant NPO which focuses on literary arts/traditional storytelling, shared the Christmas spirit this Holiday Season! The University of Guam celebrated the graduation of its 262 students on December 20, 2015 at the UOG Calvo Field House. The Commencement Ceremonies featured keynote speaker MSNBC and NBC News Anchor Richard Lui. Lui impressed upon the need for the graduates to tell their own stories and look for unique angles, as they write the chapter of their lives. Congratulations Fall 2015 graduates!
